Animal Cruelty Complaints

The new complaints line is your first port of call for reporting any incident you feel is not acceptable. Our experienced phone operators will ask you many questions to gain as much detail as possible before forwarding the information to an Inspector for further investigation.

You will at times receive a call directly from the Inspectors to clarify information.

Please have all relevant details ready and remember to take note of everything you wish to report. You will be asked for information such as date of alleged offence, offenders details/description, animals details, specific detail for the offence such as time, possible witnesses and addresses.

Anonymous complaints can NOT be investigated. For any complaint to have substance and warrant further action, we need to have your details.

All complainant details are kept confidential and will NOT be shared with any third party or the alleged offender

The Act also provides for General Inspectors to issue Direction Notices for the provisions of any food, water, shelter, care or treatment they consider necessary to ensure and protect the welfare, safety and health of the animal.
